2022 No Shave November

Let’s start the conversation about your prostate



This year JCI Creative Leaders in Curacao, Stichting Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds and Lab de Med with many other participating partners are partnering up for the third edition of “No Shave November”, a campaign to raise awareness among our community of prostate cancer.

No Shave November or Movember is a worldwide campaign where people embrace their facial hair, and let it grow free to start the conversation about prostate cancer awareness and funding. This year once again, JCI CLIC, LabdeMed and SPWF with many other participating partners are using this campaign to bring awareness to prostate cancer in Curacao. The aim of this campaign is to educate our community about prostate cancer and encourage check-ups for early detection.

During this month there will be company information sessions organize, where participants can ask all the questions they want about prostate cancer, check-ups, treatment and the benefits of early detection and prevention. There will also be a series of short educational videos about prostate cancer on the Facebook pages of JCI CLIC, Stichting Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds, Lab de Med, and all the other participating partners. For the fourth edition of ‘No Shave November’, we continue with the NO SHAVE challenge. People participating in this challenge will let their beard grow, donate to SPWF and post beard updates to social media, by participating in this challenge the participant will actively contribute to the movement to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer awareness is an important issue for our community. Malignant neoplasms of the prostate (26%) are the leading causes of cancer deaths among the male population in Curacao.
